Newbridge Estate

For this French Revival home, the new homeowners were looking for an Old World feel that would convey a feeling of warmth. Known for her ability to create a stately space and then “take the thunder out of the room”, Haleh gave her attention to creating human scale among understated splendor. Unafraid of color, the clients were comfortable with the palette of saturated jewel-like tones Haleh chose to create enveloping rooms. In love with the large windows throughout, the owners opted to keep window treatments at a minimum to enhance the generous natural light. Haleh heightened the sense of drama along the entranceway and Vestibule introducing Corinthian columns and a boldly patterned marble floor. Doors feature hand blown glass and custom-designed metal detailing. A medallion rug pattern rendered in rojo alicante, crema marfil, dark emperador, and Italian gold marbles anchors the vestibule.

Corinthian columns and pilasters support the crown molding gracing the dining room entrance. Armando Rho English Regency style furnishings feature yen wood, mahogany, satin wood with inlays of maple, boxwood, and ebony. The side chairs feature a silk stripe; the arm chairs are silk damask. The rug is Tabriz Persian.

In the kitchen, faux stone on the range hood builds textural depth. Hand blown glass inserts accent the cabinet transoms. Bronze lighting finished in walnut echoes the richness of the Habersham table. The Custom cabinetry is Habersham. The backsplash is travertine marble with a centerpiece mosaic of travertine and olive green glass mosaic tile (Architectural Ceramics). The range hood is faux finished to evoke stone and build textural depth. The island countertop is Crema Bordeaux; the cabinet countertops are Cashmere Gold. The Habersham Country French stools are finished in Venetian Parchment.

BREAKFAST ROOM

A palette of earth tones grounded by a serene green defines the rustic elegance of the breakfast room. The Starck Indian rug adds casual warmth. The corner cabinet is “Biltmore Approach Road” from Habersham and features unique open shelving. Draperies in cotton from Highland Court grace the wall of arched windows. The Habersham “Renaissance” dining table in cherry is distressed, finished, and glazed. The table base glazed in empire black evokes the illusion of metal. The Harp back chairs feature rush seats for a provincial feel. The chandelier is Fine Art Lamps.
